In keeping with the
Wisconsin Idea, one of WAGE's primary missions is to share its international expertise with Wisconsin businesses, government, and the general public. To this end, the Center for World Affairs and the Global Economy regularly sponsors a wide range of lectures, seminars, workshops, and conferences featuring international experts from around the globe as well as UW-Madison faculty and staff. In the past these programs have examined international business practices and trends, explored global economic and political conditions, and investigated the impact of globalization on the economies of Wisconsin and the Upper Midwest.
Through our
International Trade Partnership, WAGE works to enhance the competitiveness of Wisconsin companies on a global scale, to prepare future leaders for the global marketplace, and to build alliances between the university and business communities. WAGE Senior Fellows and Affiliates regularly contribute to policy debates and serve on various federal, state and local councils.
